Job summary

Steven.com is building Fund II and seeks a senior operations leader to design and stand up the operating model for governance, providers, valuations, reporting and fund launch. You’ll run the back and middle office end-to-end, partnering with outsourced specialists to scale a fast-moving, founder-led business.

As the most senior operations hire, you’ll recruit and lead the team, manage treasury and banking relationships, oversee LP onboarding and KYC/AML, and implement core tech including CRM,

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership in a fund environment (venture, private equity or asset management), ideally including a fund launch or a step change in AUM.
• Strong working knowledge of fund administration, AIFM and compliance, valuations, audit and investor reporting
• Proven experience selecting and managing external providers
• A builder who can create structure from scratch and lead a small, high calibre team
• High trust, low ego and comfortable working hands on in a fast moving, founder led business

Responsibilities

• Design and stand up the operating model through fund launch and close
• Own governance and oversee outsourced providers: admin, accounting, compliance, AIFM, legal, audit
• Run the raise ops: LP onboarding, KYC/AML, subscriptions, side letters, data room to close
• Manage treasury, banking, cash, FX, capital calls and distributions
• Own valuations policy and investor/internal reporting cadence
• Hire and lead the operations team (IR Manager, Fund Ops Manager)
• Select and implement tech: CRM, portfolio monitoring, document mgmt, data security
