Job summary

BNY Pershing in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Fund Operations professional to support investment transfers, fund maintenance, AML documentation and client processing.

You will work with Fund Managers, Transfer Agents, clients and internal teams to ensure transfers and fund documentation are completed accurately within SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor investment transfers within SLAs.
• Liaise with Fund Managers, Transfer Agents, clients and internal teams to resolve queries.
• Investigate delayed or incomplete transfers and drive to resolution.
• Complete fund application forms, AML documentation and service agreements.
• Support adding new funds and maintain static data updates.
• Produce MI, KRIs and other operational reporting.
• Assist with system testing and change initiatives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Fund Operations team, supporting investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA.

This is a hands-on operational role focused on investment transfers, fund applications, fund maintenance, client processing, AML documentation, static data, corporate actions and operational reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with Fund Managers, Transfer Agents, clients and internal operational teams, ensuring transfer requests, fund documentation and related operational activities are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.

Candidates with direct experience in investment transfers, fund transfers, platform transfers or client asset transfers are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Opportunity

The role offers exposure across a broad range of Fund Operations and transfer-related activities, including:

• Processing and monitoring investment transfers, ensuring requests are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
• Liaising with Fund Managers, Transfer Agents, clients and internal teams to resolve transfer queries and obtain outstanding information
• Investigating delayed, rejected or incomplete transfers and taking ownership through to resolution
• Completing and reviewing fund application forms, AML documentation and internal Funds service agreements
• Supporting the addition of new funds to the service
• Maintaining existing funds through static data updates, transfers and corporate actions
• Completing non-standard product reviews using fund-specific documentation
• Preparing and submitting Share Class Conversion instructions
• Managing client queries by telephone and email and resolving issues within agreed SLAs
• Producing monthly Management Information for clients and Fund Managers
• Preparing internal KRIs, client billing, scorecards, account ownership reports and other operational reporting
• Supporting testing for system releases, functional changes and operational enhancements
• Participating in occasional weekend or early-morning testing, where required
• Reviewing and updating operational procedures to maintain accuracy, consistency and audit readiness
• Supporting process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience within investment transfers, fund operations, investment platform operations, transfer agency or financial services processing
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including confident use of formulas, lookups and pivot tables
• Experience handling client queries by telephone and email
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy
• Strong prioritisation, organisation and time-management skills
• Ability to investigate transfer-related issues and take ownership through to resolution
• Proactive approach to work, with the ability to use initiative and overcome operational challenges
• Comfortable adapting to changing processes, priorities and business requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Direct experience processing investment, fund, platform or client asset transfers
• Understanding of funds, investment products or financial services operations
• Experience working within Fund Operations, Transfer Agency, Fund Administration or Investment Platform Operations
• Experience liaising with Fund Managers and Transfer Agents
• Exposure to fund applications, client onboarding or AML documentation
• Experience processing corporate actions or static data updates
• Knowledge of Share Class Conversions
• Experience producing MI, KRIs, scorecards, billing or operational reports
• Exposure to system testing, release testing or process change initiatives
• Experience maintaining operational procedures and supporting control frameworks
