Job summary

Marks Sattin is recruiting a Fund Operations Accountant for an alternative investments firm on an initial 12‑month contract with hybrid working (4 days in office). The role supports capital calls, investor activity and cash management across multiple fund structures.

You will liaise with finance, investment and operations teams, review third‑party deliverables, and contribute to controls and process improvements while aiming for a permanent opportunity.

Fund Operations Accountant - Alternative Investments - 12 month FTC

A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a Fund Operations Accountant to support a growing private markets platform on an initial 12 month contract basis with a strong possibility of going permanent.

The successful candidate will work across fund operations, investor activity, cash management and service provider oversight, partnering closely with finance, investment and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support capital calls, distributions and investor-related transactions across multiple fund structures.
• Monitor fund cash positions, liquidity requirements and banking activities.
• Review operational deliverables produced by third-party service providers.
• Assist with investor reporting and fund performance reporting processes.
• Support fund launches, on-boarding activities and operational projects.
• Liaise with investors, administrators, custodians and external advisers.
• Maintain and enhance operational controls and procedures.
• Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience within private equity, infrastructure, private credit, real estate or other alternative investment funds.
• Strong understanding of fund operations and fund administration processes.
• Experience working with third-party administrators and external service providers.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
