Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Leeds is seeking an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant to move into a hands-on finance role covering complex financial reporting, valuations, audits and stakeholder management. You will work with the Head of Finance on financial reporting, budgeting and year-end activities, with responsibilities across investor reports, cash forecasting and intercompany reconciliations.

This newly created position offers exposure to a diverse finance function in a business with clear progression

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification required.
• Experience in a fund accounting environment beneficial.
• Strong technical accounting, financial statements and controls.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
• Commercially curious with ambition to broaden finance responsibilities.
• Training in a different setting beyond audit is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing quarterly financial reporting with external stakeholders.
• Prepare investor financial information, capital account statements and schedules.
• Manage complex financial activity including cash forecasting and calculations.
• Coordinate regulatory and tax reporting with external advisers.
• Review management accounts and KPIs, analyze results and issues across entities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
