Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup in the UK seeks a Functional Tester to support a major DWP transformation programme. You will work with IBM, client and supplier teams to ensure thorough testing, validation and quality assurance during migration and before deployment.

The role demands defining test approaches, creating test artefacts, executing tests and managing defects in a large programme environment, with initial onsite work in Winchester or London and BPSS clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Functional Tester or Quality Engineer.
• Experience defining test approaches, strategies or plans.
• Strong experience creating and executing functional test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience producing test artefacts and maintaining test documentation.
• Experience recording, managing and retesting defects.
• Ability to work effectively within large, complex programme teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Minimum 5 years' UK residency.
• Must be currently based in the UK.
• Ability to complete mandatory BPSS screening and client clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the definition of test approaches, strategies and plans for the refactoring and migration of key applications.
• Analyse requirements and develop appropriate test scenarios, test cases and artefacts.
• Execute functional testing throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Validate that the refactored application meets business, technical and quality requirements.
• Support integration testing across application interfaces and connected systems.
• Record, manage and track defects through to resolution.
• Produce clear and accurate test evidence, reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with IBM, DWP, client and other supplier teams to coordinate testing activities.
• Contribute to quality assurance and release-readiness assessments.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies that may affect testing or deployment.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes, standards and best practice.
