Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Teacher for Wirral, specializing in engaging learners with SEND in a specialist education setting.

You will deliver Functional Skills English and Maths to small groups and individuals, adapting lessons to meet a range of needs, building positive relationships and helping pupils make meaningful progress in a calm, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified teachers, tutors or experienced Functional Skills practitioners with SEND experience.
• Experience in alternative provision, SEMH, PRU, FE or similar settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people and maintain calm, constructive classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Functional Skills English and Maths to small groups and individual learners.
• Adapting lessons to meet a range of additional needs, learning levels and barriers to education.
• Creating a calm, structured and motivating learning environment and supporting pupil progress.
