Job summary

Paragon Skills is seeking a Remote Functional Skills Tutor to support and inspire a diverse group of learners from across the UK. You will deliver high-quality remote teaching, guiding learners through their functional skills qualifications while maintaining engagement and progress.

You will work with the Learning Support Manager to enable national delivery, providing group and one-to-one sessions, and adapting to individual needs in a flexible remote environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Functional Skills (English and Maths) is required.
• Relevant teaching and assessor qualifications are required.
• Experience delivering additional learning support and remote teaching is expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and engage learners to achieve functional skills qualifications within set timeframes.
• Deliver both group and 1:1 sessions remotely.
• Provide additional learning support as needed, ensuring learners' individual needs are met.
• Conduct initial diagnostic assessments for learners in collaboration with operational teams.
• Deliver functional skills sessions using approved resources to promote learner success.

Salary:

Up to £29,000

We're looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team remotely. As a tutor, you will support and inspire a diverse group of learners, helping them navigate their learning journey and achieve their qualifications.

Your role will focus on delivering high-quality, remote teaching that motivates learners to stay on track and complete their functional skills goals.

By combining your expertise in functional skills and your passion for learning support, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons, helping learners progress through their qualifications. You'll work alongside the Learning Support Manager to support the national delivery of Functional Skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire and engage learners to achieve functional skills qualifications within set timeframes
• Deliver both group and 1:1 sessions remotely
• Provide additional learning support as needed, ensuring learners' individual needs are met
• Collaborate with operational teams to conduct initial diagnostic assessments for learners
