Job description

Functional Skills Tutor – English & Maths Catch-Up

Location: Home and community-based | Rate: £30–£35/hr

Support vulnerable learners aged 14–18 who are working below GCSE level. Your sessions will focus on Functional Skills in English and Maths, delivered in a practical, engaging format that reflects real-world application.

Most pupils have SEMH or SEN needs, and may be out of school.

• Teaching qualification, perferably with QTS

• Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS certificate or a willingness to obtain one

• Experience supporting disengaged or vulnerable learners

• Ability to personalise content and pace to suit learner
