Job summary

Arm's GPU Safety team is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to deliver safety solutions for next-generation GPUs used in automotive, robotics and other safety-critical applications. You will work with architecture, hardware development, verification and software teams to develop safety concepts, analyses and work products throughout the product lifecycle.

You will develop and review safety work products per ISO 26262, create Safety Plans and Cases, perform DFMEA, DFA, FTA and FMEDA, and

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety concepts.
  • Experience in RTL design of complex ASICs/SoCs.
  • Ability to write and maintain safety requirements and safety cases.
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review functional safety work products per ISO 26262.
  • Create and maintain Safety Plans, Safety Cases, Safety Manuals and related documentation.
  • Perform safety analyses including DFMEA, DFA, FTA and FMEDA.
  • Support hardware and software teams in deriving and implementing safety requirements.
  • Write, review and manage safety requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Functional Safety audits, assessments and reviews.
  • Support tool qualification activities where required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Arm's Functional Safety methodologies and processes.
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to ensure safety objectives are achieved.
