Renishaw PLC in Wotton under Edge is seeking a Functional Safety Compliance Engineer to lead FS assessment and certification of products and in-house equipment. You will work across product and project teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and manage FS documentation.

The role emphasizes re-certification of FS rated products, creating and updating FS procedures, and contributing to safety architecture discussions to meet SIL/PL targets.

Qualifications

• Higher education in engineering (minimum HNC).
• Experience with electro-mechanical machines/systems.
• Knowledge of 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive.
• Hazard analysis and risk assessment techniques.
• FMEA/FMEDA practice.
• Experience from initial specification to certification.
• Strong PC literacy and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Re-certify FS rated products and maintain business certification.
• Support new product FS tasks and activities.
• Audit FS design outputs and maintain FS management processes.
• Provide FS guidance and training to product/project teams.
• Review test plans for coverage of fault insertion tests (FMEDA/FMEA).
• Review FSM documents and record findings.
• Maintain SISTEMA library entries.
• Support equipment safety qualification including electrical, pressure and photobiological aspects.
