Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor for a hybrid, weekday role in Weston-Super-Mare. This non-clinical position uses your clinical knowledge to assess how conditions affect work capacity, with structured assessments and evidence-based reports.

The role is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with full paid training and clear opportunities for progression. Active NMC/HCPC registration and 12 months post-registration experience are required.

WCA Functional Assessor – Hybrid | Monday–Friday | No Weekends

Are you a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist looking to use your clinical expertise in a completely different way?

The Role:

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their functional ability and capacity for work.You'll carry out structured assessments, review medical information, ask relevant questions and produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports.This isn't a hands-on clinical role — you'll be using the skills you've developed throughout your healthcare career in a new and rewarding environment.

Salary: £40,000 increasing to £42,000 after 12 months

Location: Weston-Super-Mare
