Functional Assessor - Ashford

Play a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process, a service that touches the lives of millions of people in the UK. You will work autonomously to assess cases of people applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. You will only work to assess people for PIP or WCA, not both. During your application process, we will advise you on which service you will work on and discuss your training requirements.
You do not need previous experience as a Functional Assessor. We support your career change with our accredited training programme and dedicated support structure.
Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, or Occupational Therapist.
You must hold full registration with one of the following professional bodies:
