Job summary

Babcock International offers a 5-year Digital and Technology Solutions Apprenticeship with a Software Engineering Pathway. Based in Bristol and Plymouth, the programme combines hands-on software development with a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions from the University of Exeter.

Starting salary is £23,776 with on-site work at Bristol (Ashton House) and Plymouth. You’ll rotate through design offices, labs and workshops, gaining experience from day one.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: five subjects at grade C/4 or above.
• Three A Levels at grade B or above, preferably Maths, Science or IT.
• Familiarity with software development tools and web technologies (HTML).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to real software projects while studying for a BSc Honours Degree.
• Work across design offices, labs and workshops on live projects.
• Learn through Agile practices and AI-assisted development within defence sector.
