Job summary

Believe Care and Support is seeking a compassionate Support Worker / Personal Assistant to support a young neurodiverse man in Skelmersdale. You will help with daily living, accompany him in the community and contribute to his independence and wellbeing.

The role is full-time, male-only under Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Paragraph 1, with typical shifts from 10:00 to 22:00 and a pay rate of £15.50 per hour plus occasional sleep-ins. A driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people with autism and/or mental health needs.
• Able to accompany and support in community activities.
• Full UK driving licence holder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with everyday living tasks and plan meals.
• Accompany and support him in the community and activities.
• Encourage development of practical life skills to promote independence.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the individual and family.
• Monitor wellbeing and safety and communicate with the support team.
