Job summary

Kisharon Langdon invites applications for Support Worker roles in Golders Green and Hendon. The role focuses on enabling individuals to live as independently as possible, with social, health and personal care support and involvement in employment and community activities.

New entrants are welcome; unqualified candidates can apply with training provided. Qualified applicants receive higher pay (£13.56 per hour) after demonstrating appropriate health and social care qualifications.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent and good written English.
• QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or higher for higher pay.
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support social, health and personal care.
• Assist with moving, wheelchair use, and hoist as required.
• Encourage independence and develop new skills such as shopping, cooking and cleaning.
• Support social activities, outings and attendance at appointments.
• Support people to observe Jewish culture and align with Kisharon Langdon mission.
• Contribute to care plans and promote wellbeing.
