Protocol Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with SEN experience for a full-time role at a welcoming primary school in Basildon, Essex. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, helping with learning, social development and wellbeing. Work with the teacher and SENCO to implement learning plans and support pupils inside and outside the classroom, promoting independence and engagement.
Qualifications
Experience working with children with SEN within a school setting.
Understanding of a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS via Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
Assist children with their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom environment.
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
