Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Grimsby to join a warm primary education setting with nursery provision. You will create a caring, engaging environment where young children can grow, learn through play, and receive strong support from a dedicated team.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification and has recent UK nursery experience. You will work full-time in a long-term role, with safeguarding and EYFS compliance at the core of daily practice.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Recent UK nursery or early years experience would be beneficial.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support fun, engaging activities that promote early learning and development.
• Encourage curiosity, imagination and confidence through play-based experiences.
• Support language development, communication, physical skills and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming nursery environment.
• Monitor progress and contribute to observations and learning records.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily nursery routines.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers and other early years professionals.
• Communicate with families to support children's development.
• Follow safeguarding policies to ensure children's safety.
