Job summary

AUTOSTOP Service Centre in Warrington is seeking a skilled automotive technician to join our established workshop. You will perform light vehicle servicing and maintenance, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to a high standard, and contribute to MOT testing where qualified.

We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience, regular reviews, and benefits including on-site parking and a supportive team environment. Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a professional workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostic ability.
• Full UK driving licence is required; MOT tester qualification is a plus.
• Welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out light vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing to a high standard.
• Carrying out MOT tests where qualified, with MOT licence desirable.
• Maintaining workshop standards, safety and customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Vehicle Maintenance: Carrying out all aspects of light vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs to a high standard.
• MOT Testing: Carrying out MOT tests where qualified, with an MOT licence highly desirable.
• Workshop Standards: Working efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a professional workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and confident diagnostic ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester qualification preferred but not essential.
• Welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• A reliable, team-focused attitude with pride in your work.
