Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position in a welcoming primary school in Bury. You will support teaching and learning across the class and provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs where needed.

This role balances whole-class support with focused interventions, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities.
• Have an understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice.
• Be adaptable and able to work across different key stages if required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to helping every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging and effective learning activities.
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND when required.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support the class teacher with classroom organisation and resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Contribute to the social, emotional and academic development of pupils.
