We are looking to appoint an excellent Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position.

If you are passionate about supporting children’s learning, enjoy working as part of a team, and are committed to helping all pupils reach their full potential, then Wittersham could be the school for you.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Brings enthusiasm, commitment and high expectations for all pupils – and for themselves

  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Has a positive outlook and the flexibility that comes with working in a nurturing, small-school environment

  • Will support our Christian ethos and our commitment to developing the whole child in partnership with families and the wider community

  • Is caring, patient and able to support children with a range of needs across the curriculum

We can offer you:

  • Happy, articulate and engaged children who are proud of their school and eager to learn

  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development

  • A friendly, creative and committed team in a school with a warm, positive atmosphere

  • A work environment where mental health and wellbeing are prioritised in every decision we make

  • A supportive and enthusiastic Governing Body and a highly engaged parent community

  • A thriving school at the heart of its village community

  • A beautiful rural setting with a large sports field, swimming pool, reflection garden and nature area

We warmly welcome visits to the school – please contact the school office on 01797 270329 to arrange a time.
