Job summary

Acorn Early Years Foundation seeks a dedicated Nursery Assistant for Sharnbrook Nursery. The role supports a holistic curriculum and the wellbeing, development and learning of all children in a nurturing, child-centred environment.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, with training and development opportunities. We welcome applicants who are caring, enthusiastic and reliable, and who value working with families to support children's growth.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification required; training and development will be supported.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s care, wellbeing and individual needs
• Deliver positive, high-quality interactions based on children’s development
• Promote positive behaviour in line with Acorn’s policies
• Support rich learning experiences indoors and outdoors
• Encourage children’s independence, confidence and physical development
• Support planning in the moment
• Carry out regular observations and maintain records as appropriate
• Understand and support the key person approach
• Work flexibly as part of a team and cascade information to colleagues
