Job summary

Dentalcare Bath is seeking a friendly Dental Receptionist to join our mixed NHS/Private practice. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming reception and smooth front-desk operations while supporting a busy clinical team.

We offer 40 hours per week, a negotiable salary depending on experience, up to 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) and excellent ongoing training. Immediate start available and a friendly, supportive environment committed to patient care.

Qualifications

• Background in dental reception or front-of-house preferred.
• Able to work calmly under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, GCSE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to enquiries.
• Manage reception duties and keep the front desk organized.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with admin.
• Receive and distribute correspondence and messages.
• Liaise with staff, residents, families and external professionals.

About The Role

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, residents, families and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to enquiries appropriately.
• Manage reception duties and ensure the front desk is kept organised and welcoming.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with general administration.
• Receive and distribute correspondence, deliveries and messages.
• Liaise effectively with staff, residents, families and external professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.
• Support the wider team with administrative tasks when required.
• Prioritise workload effectively and remain calm during busy periods.

About You

• We are ideally looking for a candidate with a dental receptionist background or someone with reception/front of house experience
• A committed and hardworking individual who has the drive to succeed
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Discreet and respectful when handling confidential information.
• You will have completed a Secondary / GCSE or similar qualification
• SOE experience is preferred but not essential
• Computer skills are essential
