Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting a Support Worker for a Day Centre in Stoke-on-Trent. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:50 AM - 4:30 PM, full-time, on-site. You will support individuals in activities, assist with personal care and meals, and help those with specialist needs, including PEG feeding, using mobility aids as required.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a caring, patient, and reliable approach. Female candidates preferred to align with client preferences.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to participate and fully engage in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Support service users on days out and activities within the local community.
• Provide personal care where required.
• Assist with food and support service users with eating.
• Support individuals with specialist requirements, including PEG feeding where required.
• Use mobility aids and equipment to safely support, lift and move service users.
• Carry out duties delegated by the Manager or Team Leader within your skills and competence.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice at all times.
