Job summary

Supply Heroes Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school with sixth form. You will supervise classes during short-term absences, deliver pre-prepared activities and maintain a positive learning environment.

The role is full-time and long-term, with ongoing professional development and collaboration with teaching staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with 11-16s, strong behaviour management, and excellent communication skills to help students

Qualifications

• Experience working with or supporting young people aged 11-16.
• Ability to supervise whole classes and deliver pre-prepared activities.
• Strong commitment to helping students achieve educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared learning activities and keep students focused.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Promote high standards of behaviour and achievement in line with school expectations.
• Monitor student engagement and progress throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teachers on completed work and any issues.
