Job summary

Hireful is seeking an experienced Carpentry Lecturer, Teacher or professional to share industry knowledge within a Further Education environment at a Surrey campus.

You will deliver high-quality teaching across Carpentry and Construction, assess learner progress and develop materials while embedding employability and IT skills. The role offers a salary up to £43,700 and a generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree, HND or equivalent qualification.
• Strong practical knowledge and experience in Carpentry or Construction.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred (willing to work towards).
• A1/V1 Assessors Award advantageous or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Learner-focused approach with ability to motivate students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Carpentry and Construction programmes.
• Assess, monitor and record learner progress and provide support to help learners reach potential.
• Develop engaging learning materials and contribute to curriculum review and development.
• Embed employability, literacy, numeracy and IT skills within the curriculum.
• Support learners with progression and recruitment activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching, assessment and quality standards.
