Job summary

Prestwick Care Group is seeking dedicated Care Assistants to work full-time at Bay View House in Whitley Bay. You will deliver essential personal care, support residents with daily activities and work closely with nurses and senior carers to meet individual needs with kindness and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Caring, compassionate and calm by nature with strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively in a team and follow care plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, eating).
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and physical activities as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs where trained (temperature, pulse, BP).
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and companionship to residents.
• Assist nursing staff and senior carers with basic care tasks.
• Promote dignity, privacy and choice at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare team.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and company policies.
