Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a full-time Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon. You will join a team delivering a one-stop service in a nationally recognised unit, with emphasis on breast oncology and oncoplastic techniques, MDT collaboration and senior clinical leadership.

The role includes outpatient clinics, operating sessions and active participation in SPA activities, audits, teaching and professional development within a supportive NHS

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and Specialist Register or within six months of receipt of CCT at time of interview.
• UK training with CCT or evidence of equivalence for non-UK trained applicants.
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification; MRCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinics (symptomatic, screening and oncoplastic).
• Operating sessions and postoperative ward rounds.
• Clinical administration and pre/post op ward rounds; MDT involvement.
