Job summary

The Company in Birmingham is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to deliver complete features and projects. You will work independently with light oversight from a Lead Engineer, owning work from ticket to production.

You will make technical decisions, raise high-risk issues early and support junior engineers while keeping delivery quality high. Role focuses on AI integration, SaaS products and portals.

Qualifications

• Commercial programming experience consistent with a mid-level engineer.
• Proficiency in PHP/Laravel and a modern frontend framework (React/React Native).
• Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of MVC/RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver features that are tested, documented and in use.
• Make technical decisions balancing maintainability, security and client needs.
• Build full‑stack web/mobile apps using React Native, SQL APIs and AWS hosting.
• Write clean, tested code and collaborate via Git, PRs and CI/CD.
