Job summary

X-On, a UK-based team of software engineers and QA testers across all experience levels, builds backend APIs and customer-facing websites to shape innovative technology solutions within primary healthcare.

You will work in an agile team on diverse projects, contributing to architectural and design discussions while delivering features in incremental steps. The role emphasises pragmatic problem solving and collaboration with stakeholders across remote and in-person settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
• Experience with PHP (Laravel) and frontend React.
• Experience with GitLab and MySQL.
• Familiarity with OO design and software design patterns.
• Experience with test frameworks.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or message queues is a plus.
• Healthcare industry experience (NHS) is desirable.

• Contribute towards translating business requirements into technical design and development projects and tasks
• Contribute in architectural and design discussions
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Identify and contribute towards developing solutions to improve system security, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Adhere to best software engineering practices and principles
• Collaborate with other members of the team through remote and in-person collaboration, work together with all stakeholders to understand and progress projects and tasks
