Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Fullstack Engineer for the Monaco squad, building end-to-end features across modern web apps, backend services, and data platforms. You will design scalable backends powering subscriptions, prepaid products, pricing, and offers, while creating intuitive internal tools for business teams to launch, configure, and manage Premium offers with secure workflows.

You will implement GraphQL and gRPC APIs, optimize PostgreSQL schemas, and write well-tested, auditable code.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production software across frontend and backend.
• Strong Java 17+ experience preferred.
• Proficient in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Experience designing/consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Familiar with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL with schema design and optimization.
• Commitment to reliable, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Strong collaboration with engineers, product, and design.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across web apps, backend services, and data platforms.
• Create internal products to enable business teams to launch and manage Premium offers.
• Design and maintain scalable backend services for subscriptions, pricing, promotions, and offer lifecycle.
• Develop GraphQL and gRPC APIs connecting frontend to distributed services.
• Design schemas, perform migrations, and optimize database performance using PostgreSQL.
• Write secure, auditable systems for financial operations and SOX workflows.
• Collaborate across teams to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
• Participate in on-call rotation to maintain service availability.
