Job summary

The Guardian is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Publishing & Journalism engineering stream. You’ll build frontend and backend systems in TypeScript and Scala, in a cross-functional team that moves quickly to deliver new features.

You’ll collaborate with editorial and commercial teams, contribute to product and technical decisions, and have opportunities to learn new skills across different teams. Salary starts at £57,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proficient in back-end and front-end development using TypeScript and Scala.
• Willing to learn TypeScript when needed and adapt to the Guardian stack.
• Curious about the direction of the organization and opportunities for growth.
• Interested in web technologies and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
