Why This Role is Great

Our client is a fast-growing Tech for Good start-up, born from world-class research and backed by serious ambition. They are developing a next-generation hardware-software product that combines deep tech innovation with real human impact. As part of a small, highly capable team, you’ll influence architecture, set standards, and help scale the solution to market.

This role is for someone who wants to build and own problems, not just maintain or follow tickets.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to designing and developing a groundbreaking new product from scratch.
  • Lead in shaping the software architecture across the stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, hardware, compliance, and product management.
  • Write clear, scalable, and maintainable code, always thinking ahead.
  • Pair-program and mentor to foster a strong engineering culture.
  • Thrive in the ambiguity and excitement of early-stage tech development.
About You

This role suits someone who values autonomy, is energized by deep tech, and wants meaningful work. You’ll collaborate with forward-thinking minds and solve technical challenges with elegance and purpose.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
  • Broad understanding of modern development practices, tools, and full-stack architecture.
  • Experience building mobile apps; Swift experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative environments.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, architecture, and clean code principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Bonus: a mathematical or analytical background; curiosity and problem-solving skills are highly valued.

If you’re excited about the mission and have transferable skills, we encourage you to apply even if not all points are met.

What’s in It for You

This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to shape the future of impactful technology.

  • Flexible hours with hybrid working options.
  • Lunch and dinner provided when working late.
  • Team outings and retreats, including outreach and off-site events.
  • Convenient location near a major tube line, with access to facilities like a gym and climbing wall.
  • Access to a fully equipped workshop with tools like 3D printers and CNC machines for professional or personal projects.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our client and Humand Talent are committed to building diverse and inclusive teams. We encourage applications from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. If you believe you’d thrive here, we want to hear from you—even if you don’t meet every point.
