Job summary

William Hill PLC in Leeds is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help deliver value across our in-store technology and online customer experience. You will implement and document solutions with Developers, Testers and Solution Architects, ensuring software quality and controlling technical debt.

The role requires Java and JavaScript/TypeScript experience (React/Node), Scrum/Kanban, and the ability to work across multiple teams in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Java Developer.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, preferably React/Node.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Kanban.
  • Broad knowledge of web software development topics.
  • Experience in multi-team environments with dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and document solutions with Developers, Testers and Solution Architects.
  • Ensure software integrity and manage technical debt with Site Reliability teams.
  • Support turning guardrails into best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on requirements.
  • Collaborate on delivery with Delivery Managers.
  • Pair programming and/or code reviews with constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure tests are aligned with the solution and complement tests.
  • Support CI & release pipelines for all applications delivered.
  • Organise & execute releases.
