Job summary

Universal Music Group UK is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer for a 6-month remote contract. You will modernise customer-facing and internal web apps, evolving the .NET platform toward a React/TypeScript frontend.

You will design user journeys, build reusable components, and establish a design system across applications. You’ll develop C#/.NET Core services and secure APIs, define API contracts, and translate stakeholder needs into deliverable releases.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with agile delivery and code reviews.

On behalf of UMG, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer for a 6 month contract (with potential for extension) to work remotely.

How we LEAD:

The Full Stack Developer will support the modernisation of customer-facing and internal web applications. The role will focus on improving user experiences while helping evolve the existing .NET platform towards a more modern React-based frontend architecture.

How you’ll CREATE:

• Design and deliver modern user journeys across authenticated user journeys.
• Build reusable, responsive and accessible interface components, establishing patterns that make future features faster and more consistent to deliver.
• Help migrate appropriate parts of the current UI towards modern .NET best practice paired with React and TypeScript without disrupting live customer or operational workflows.
• Establish a design system that will work across multiple application in the business.
• Develop and maintain C# and ASP.NET Core functionality, including controllers, services, data access and secure APIs needed by the new interfaces.
• Work with the senior developer to agree API contracts and integration approaches that fit the existing architecture and authentication model.
• Translate product and stakeholder needs into pragmatic, well-scoped releases, validating usability and edge cases as part of delivery.
• Add appropriate automated tests, review code and improve documentation so changes are safe to release and straightforward to maintain.
• Investigate and resolve defects across the UI and .NET stack, contributing to deployment and continuous improvement of the development workflow.

Bring your VIBE:

• Strong commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Entity Framework Core.
• Solid full-stack development background with recent React and TypeScript experience.
• Experience building and integrating secure APIs and authenticated web applications.
• Strong front-end skills with a focus on responsive design, accessibility, usability, and performance.
• Experience working within existing production systems and modernising applications incrementally.
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL or similar).
• Comfortable with automated testing, code reviews, Git, and Agile delivery practices.
