About The Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you will help design, develop, enhance and support web applications and digital platforms. You will work across the application stack, contributing to both front-end experiences and back-end functionality. The role combines the delivery of new features with the ongoing improvement, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems.

Working closely with stakeholders, you will clarify requirements, discuss possible approaches and translate business needs into practical, high-quality technical solutions. You will contribute throughout the development process, from understanding a request and implementing a solution to testing, resolving issues and supporting applications after release. You will also help maintain CMS websites and ensure that updates are reliable, usable and aligned with project requirements.

This position is suited to a developer with two to three or more years of full stack development experience who enjoys solving problems and taking ownership of their work. You should be comfortable working independently while communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring a thoughtful approach to development, a willingness to learn, and an interest in creating and improving useful web-based solutions.

Qualifications

Candidates should have two to three or more years of full stack development experience and strong skills in Python, React, JavaScript and PostgreSQL. Experience using Git or SVN for version control is required, along with knowledge of AWS, the LAMP stack, HTML and CSS. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are important for success in this role.

Experience with RESTful APIs, Docker and Linux would be beneficial. Familiarity with WordPress, Angular, D3, PHP or other JavaScript frameworks is also desirable. Additional experience in GIS, Power BI or data visualisation would be an advantage. These additional skills are welcome but are not required; candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant development experience and a sound foundation in the essential technologies.
