Job summary

MJA (London) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to join an existing engineering team. You will understand the architecture quickly, contribute production-quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and independently drive assigned deliverables through to deployment.

You should have experience with MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, C#/.NET Core 10+, and SQL Server 19+. Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kafka, and Open API standards is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building production-grade distributed systems.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems and RESTful APIs.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Job description

Looking for a detailed orientated engineer to join an existing engineering team, understand the architecture quickly, contribute production-quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and independently drive assigned deliverables through to deployment.

You should have the following experience:

MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, C#/.NET Core 10+ and SQL Server 19+.

Programming: JavaScript and TypeScript Architecture: Microservices and distributed applications Event-Driven

Architecture: Apache Kafka Kafka: Producers, consumers, topics, partitions and consumer groups Cloud: AWS application deployment and support DevOps: CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation Containers: Docker

APIs: RESTful API design and development using C# with Open API standard Source Control: GitHub and Azure DevOps Production Engineering: Troubleshooting, monitoring, logging and performance optimization

Highly Desirable

Amazon MSK or managed Kafka experience

AWS EKS/ECS

Terraform/AWS CloudFormation

Redis and distributed caching
