Job summary

MJA (London) Ltd in the City of London is seeking a detail‑oriented engineer to join an existing team, quickly understand the architecture, contribute production‑quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and independently drive assigned deliverables through to deployment.

Experience with MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, C#/.NET Core 10+ and SQL Server 19+. JavaScript/TypeScript, microservices, event‑driven design, Kafka, AWS and Docker, plus REST APIs and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, and C#/.NET Core 10+.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and building microservices.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience with Kafka and distributed event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Looking for a detailed orientated engineer to join an existing engineering team, understand the architecture quickly, contribute production-quality code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and independently drive assigned deliverables through to deployment.

You should have the following experience:

• MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js, C#/.NET Core 10+ and SQL Server 19+.
• Programming: JavaScript and TypeScript Architecture: Microservices and distributed applications Event-Driven
• Architecture: Apache Kafka Kafka: Producers, consumers, topics, partitions and consumer groups Cloud: AWS application deployment and support DevOps: CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation Containers: Docker
• APIs: RESTful API design and development using C# with Open API standard Source Control: GitHub and Azure DevOps Production Engineering: Troubleshooting, monitoring, logging and performance optimization

Highly Desirable

• Amazon MSK or managed Kafka experience
• AWS EKS/ECS
• Terraform/AWS CloudFormation
• AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS and EventBridge
• Redis and distributed caching
• CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk
