Job summary

Wessex Internet is seeking a Network Installation Engineer to install full-fibre connections for residential and business customers across the South West, delivering reliable, high-speed service.

You’ll work on both Legacy and XGS networks, diagnose faults, complete installations at customer premises and masts, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the wider engineering and customer service teams to keep customers connected and satisfied.

Qualifications

• Experience as Installation Engineer in fibre/telecoms or similar.
• Strong fault-finding and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to represent the business on customer premises.
• Confident working independently and within a team.
• Experience working at height and external installations; relevant certifications are advantageous.
• UK driving licence held for 12 months+.

Responsibilities

• Install full-fibre connections for residential and business customers, including final connections.
• Diagnose and resolve service issues across Legacy and XGS networks.
• Complete failed installations and maintenance within agreed timescales and to a high standard.
• Work at height, including installations on customer properties and masts.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and daily activities for fibre network info.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to keep customers connected.
