Job summary

Loom Talent is seeking a commercially minded Fulfilment Contract Manager to lead a key customer operation in a Sunderland warehouse. You will balance customer relations with day-to-day delivery, owning performance and driving cost, productivity, and people outcomes.

In this hands-on senior role, you'll manage labour and costs, lead operational teams, and work with the wider logistics function to ensure seamless service and continuous improvement across the contract.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fulfilment Contract Manager or similar senior warehouse leadership role.
• Strong warehousing/fulfilment experience in 3PL, e-commerce, retail or distribution.
• Experience managing customer relationships with day-to-day delivery.
• Understanding of warehouse KPIs, labour planning, productivity and cost management.
• Commercial awareness with contract performance and P&L experience.

• Leading day-to-day warehouse performance across inbound, inventory, pick, pack and dispatch.
• Managing and developing operational teams to deliver against customer SLAs and KPIs.

The role

This Fulfilment Contract Manager opportunity is with a fast-growing logistics business based in Sunderland, taking ownership of a key customer operation within a busy warehouse and fulfilment environment.

The business is looking for a commercially aware, operationally hands-on Fulfilment Contract Manager who can balance customer relationships with the realities of running a high-performing warehouse operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring the contract delivers across service, cost, productivity and people while identifying opportunities to improve and grow the operation.

Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll act as the key link between the customer and warehouse operation, with genuine ownership of contract performance.

Key responsibilities

Key experience

• Experience as a Fulfilment Contract Manager, Contract Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or similar senior warehouse leader
• Strong warehouse and fulfilment experience within 3PL, e-commerce, retail or distribution
• Experience managing customer relationships alongside day-to-day operational delivery
• Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, labour planning, productivity and cost management
• Commercially aware with experience managing contract performance and ideally P&L responsibility
• Demonstrable experience delivering Continuous Improvement within warehouse operations
• Experience working within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with a hands-on operational approach

This Fulfilment Contract Manager role in Sunderland offers a salary of circa £55,000 - £60,000 + package and would suit someone who combines strong warehouse operational knowledge with the commercial and customer-facing skills needed to take genuine ownership of a key logistics contract.
