Job summary

The John Lewis Partnership seeks a dedicated Fulfilment Associate for the Dishpatch fulfilment centre in Greater London. You will help ensure our food is portioned and packed to specification, support safe operation of equipment, and maintain high quality fulfilment processes on a five-day onsite pattern.

Ideal candidates will have experience in food packing or hospitality, strong teamwork and communication, and the flexibility to cover weekend/Bank holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food packing / catering / hospitality.
• Ability to work in a cold room and production kitchen settings.
• On-site, five days a week on a 25 hour per week pattern.

Job description

Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.We are looking for a dedicated Fulfilment Associate to support the daily operations of our Dishpatchfulfilment centre. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our fulfilment processes runsmoothly, efficiently, and accurately.Your primary focus will be maintaining the high quality of our fulfilment operations by ensuring allfood is accurately portioned according to specification. You will also be a champion for safety,ensuring complete compliance with internal processes and company Food Safety policies, as well assupporting the safe operation of all equipment and facilities

About the role

• Salary - £14.55 per hour
• Contract type - Short Term Temporary Contract
• Working pattern/flexible working - The Fulfillment team are required to be onsite over
  5 days a week. This is often a Monday - Saturday pattern, however there may be a requirement to cover some weekends/ bank holidays.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience of working in a Food packing / catering / hospitality
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole team
• Working in a fast paced environment
• Food Preparation: Prepping and packing food items specifically within a cold room and
  production kitchen settings.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining on your
  feet, moving frequently, and handling/carrying heavy items.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

• Food Safety Level 2
• Allergen Awareness

Part time hours (25 per week) Monday to Saturday inclusive.
