Carr’s Billington Agriculture in Castle Douglas is seeking an experienced HGV Fuel Tanker Driver to join our depot team. You will safely load, deliver kerosene, road diesel and gas oil to domestic and commercial customers while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

You will work both independently and with colleagues to meet daily delivery targets, participate in training, and act as an ambassador for the business, providing excellent service and building lasting relationships with rural

Qualifications

• HGV Category C licence required.
• ADR training in tanks or willingness to be trained.
• Experience delivering fuel by tanker preferred.
• Capable of working both in a team and independently.
• Willingness to pursue continuous improvement in processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely load your vehicle daily from depot or terminals.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries of kerosene, road diesel and gas oil.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Transport regulations, including tachograph rules.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture in all aspects of work.
• Work with colleagues to hit targets and exceed customer expectations.
• Provide holiday cover and support other depots as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Participate in training, safety meetings and toolbox talks.

THE JOB

As an HGV Fuel Tanker Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of fuel products to our customers while supporting the day-to-day operations of the depot.

• Safely load your vehicle each day from the company depot or designated fuel terminals.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries of kerosene, road diesel, and gas oil to both domestic and commercial customers.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Transport regulations, including daily vehicle inspections, driver risk assessments, HGV compliance requirements and tachograph legislation.
• Champion and actively promote a positive Health & Safety culture in all aspects of your work.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure operational targets and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
• Support wider depot operations when required, including holiday cover and assisting other depots across the network.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, building positive relationships and seeking opportunities to exceed customer expectations.
• Participate in training, development activities, monthly Health & Safety meetings and toolbox talks to maintain professional standards and compliance.
• Act as an ambassador for the business, representing the company professionally and promoting our values and brand at all times.
• Adhere to all Company and Group policies and procedures, with particular focus on Safety, Health, Environmental and compliance standards.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED

• HGV Category C licence.
• Willingness for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work well within a team and as an individual.
• ADR including Class 3 in tanks - training will be provided if required.
• Previous experience of Fuel tanker driver and delivery of fuel.
