Job summary

Carr's Billington Agriculture recruitment seeks a Farm Delivery Driver to transport animal feed from our mill to farms and rural customers across the region. You will load, drive LGV vehicles, and deliver to diverse sites, building strong customer relationships on every shift.

You will participate in vehicle checks, follow hours and transport regulations, and work with the transport team to adapt to changing needs while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• LGV Licence (Desirable Class 1)
• Driver CPC
• Flexible approach to work, including delivering bulk feed when required.
• Excellent communicator who can build strong working relationships with all colleagues.
• Ability to work independently using their own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Getting out on the road delivering and collecting animal feed safely and efficiently using our LGV vehicles.
• Getting hands-on at the mill, preparing and loading your vehicle ready for the day's deliveries.
• Delivering directly to farms and rural locations, so you'll need to be comfortable with the realities of agricultural deliveries and accessing a variety of sites.
• Building great relationships with our customers. You're not just delivering a product, you're representing Carr's Billington and providing the friendly, reliable service our customers expect.
• Taking pride in your vehicle, completing your daily checks and making sure any defects or concerns are reported straight away.
• Driving safely and responsibly, following drivers' hours, road transport requirements and the conditions of our Operator's Licence.
• Working efficiently, planning your day alongside the wider transport team and taking a flexible approach when customer or operational needs change.
• Keeping safety front and centre, whether you're at the mill, on the road or making a delivery on a customer's farm.
• Looking after fuel efficiency, using a safe and economical driving style and making the best use of your vehicle.
• Maintaining our high standards, including the relevant requirements of UFAS, FIAS and NOPS, with all the necessary training and guidance provided.

The Job

As one of our Farm Delivery Drivers, you'll play a key part in getting animal feed from our mill to the farms and customers who rely on us.

This is much more than simply driving from A to B. You'll start your day at the mill, getting your vehicle loaded and ready before heading out on the road to make deliveries to farms across the area. You'll meet a wide range of customers, tackle different delivery locations and be a familiar face representing Carr's Billington out on the road.
