Job summary

Ensignbus is seeking a Fueller to join the busy Maintenance team at our Purfleet depot. You will fuel our fleet, ensuring vehicles are fuelled and ready for service or maintenance, and assist with bus wash operations as part of a safety‑driven team.

The role operates on a 4 on 3 off schedule from 16:00 to 03:25, with an hourly rate of £13.47 and overtime at £14.71. UK right to work and basic IT literacy are required; bus knowledge and a driving licence are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with general IT tools and systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
• Knowing basic bus operations is beneficial.
• UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Fuel a fleet of vehicles to keep them ready for service or maintenance.
• Work with the Engineering team to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist with bus wash and routine checks as required.
• Develop technical skills through on‑the‑job training.

Ensignbus is the multi award bus company running the majority of bus services in Thurrock as well as operating Rail Replacement services, Private Charter services for schools, football teams, and corporate clients and extensive use of heritage vehicles from our depot in Purfleet. In addition, we are one of the largest second-hand bus dealers in the UK and carry out bespoke conversion and refurbishment work for clients of all kinds.

We are now looking for a Fueller to join the busy and energetic Maintenance team atour Ensignbus Depot in Purfleet, to help look after our fleet of vehicles.

Key Details:

• £13.47 per hour
• £14.71 overtime rate
• 4 on 3 off
• 16:00pm-03:25am

In this role you'll be responsible for fuelling our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are ready for service or maintenance. You'll work as part of a team to ensure the fleet meets service requirements and processing through the bus wash. Health and Safety is key in this role, working alongside our Engineering team to comply with all legislation. You'll also maintain and develop technical skills as required.

What We're Looking For

• Do you have a valid UK driving license? Not essential but beneficial
