Astute People's Power Team - Fuel Reception Technician Job Description

Astute People's Power Team is exclusively working with the South Clyde Energy Centre to recruit a full team of Operations & Maintenance staff. The plant, currently under construction, will process up to 350,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating power for approximately 70,000 homes. This new Power Station is scheduled to begin commercial operations by the end of 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join during the plant's commissioning, training, and mobilisation phases.

We are seeking a Fuel Reception Technician to join the Operations Team at this new facility. The role involves supporting the team in the safe and efficient operation of the plant, including the use of mobile plant equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading operations in the fuel handling and ash loading areas.
• Operate mobile plant and machinery following company procedures.
• Manage weighbridge operations as required, including completing associated documentation.
• Operate overhead cranes to facilitate fuel loading operations.
• Perform first-line maintenance activities within the tipping hall, ensuring the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is accurately updated.
