Qualifications

• Commercial contract negotiation and management expertise.
• Experience managing complex contracts, payment mechanisms, and performance frameworks.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss accounts, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience building and managing client relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and deliver value.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident negotiator with strong influencing abilities.

• Experience implementing new systems and operational processes.

Responsabilités

• Manage fuel supply contracts, including Local Authority, Commercial & Industrial, and merchant fuel agreements.
• Ensure contractual, regulatory, legal, and company compliance requirements are fully met.
• Monitor and evaluate contract performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain contract risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Work closely with site operations teams to ensure fuel availability meets operational requirements.
• Manage relationships with fuel suppliers, hauliers, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Develop contingency plans to maintain fuel supply during outages.
• Source fuel in line with budget, commercial targets, quality specifications, and NCV requirements.
• Lead contractual discussions and negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
• Monitor and report on contractual performance, implementing improvements where required.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation, correspondence, status reports, and change records.
• Act as the primary contractual contact for Local Authority, Commercial & Industrial, and merchant customers.
• Support and deputise for the Head of Contracts and provide support across regions as needed.
• Take full accountability for preventing incidents that could impact health, safety, or the environment.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all contractual activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and environmental standards.
