Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available in our People Team for a People Support Adviser on Fixed Term Contract until December 2024.

There is a possibility of this being extended beyond this.

In this role, you will provide first-line advice, guidance, coaching, and support related to Employee and Line Manager enquiries, across People Services, as well as manage relationships and coordinate support for multi-stranded enquiries.

This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, Birmingham, or Leeds, with occasional travel required.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a HR/People function, advising or administrating with knowledge of current HR policies and processes
  • Experience handling employee relations matters, supporting and advising managers confidently
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong execution skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships remotely and in person, gaining trust
  • Analytical mindset to identify data trends
  • HR expertise and employment law knowledge, with generalist HR experience, especially in employee relations
  • Proven ability to guide and support leaders and managers on HR policies, performance, capability, disciplinary, and grievances
  • Strong communication skills
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience

Who you will be working with:

  • A dedicated People Team of 12, covering People Services, L&D, and Talent Acquisition
  • Reporting to the People Support Lead
