Job Opportunity: People Support Adviser

We have an exciting opportunity in our People Team for a People Support Adviser on a Fixed Term Contract until December 2024. There is a possibility of extension beyond this period.

In this role, you will provide first-line advice, guidance, coaching, and support regarding Employee and Line Manager enquiries across People Services. You will also manage relationships and coordinate support for complex enquiries.

This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, Birmingham, or Leeds, with occasional travel required.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a HR/People advisory or administrative role, with knowledge of current HR policies and processes
  • Experience handling a wide range of employee relations issues, supporting managers confidently through processes
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and execution skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, both in person and remotely
  • Analytical mindset to identify data trends
  • Sound HR generalist knowledge, employment law, and confidence in HR expertise
  • Proven ability to guide and support leaders and managers on HR matters
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
Team and Reporting:
  • You will work with a dedicated People Team of 12, covering People Services, L&D, and Talent Acquisition
  • You will report to the People Support Lead
