Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join Hallgate Primary School in Cottingham. The post is part-time (31.25 hours per week) and term-time pro rata, with a salary range listed at £19,902 to £20,223 per year.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher, SENDCO and other professionals to support pupils’ educational, social, emotional and development needs, ensuring safety and wellbeing. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a primary school setting.
• NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to communicate well and build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils by undertaking activities with individuals or groups to enable access to provision.
• Ensure pupils' safety, wellbeing and educational development.
• Collaborate with Class Teacher, SENDCO and other professionals.
