Job summary

RSM UK is seeking an Associate Director for its Financial Services Regulatory Practice. You will own a portfolio of complex regulatory engagements, lead the team and work closely with Partners and Directors to drive commercial growth and high-quality client outcomes.

Success requires extensive FCA regulatory expertise, strong stakeholder skills, and the ability to translate regulation into practical, commercially-informed advice for boards and senior leadership across the UK financial services

Qualifications

• Extensive FCA regulatory compliance expertise within UK financial services, incl. FCA Handbook, SYSC, PRIN, Consumer Duty, conduct and financial crime requirements.
• Significant consultancy/advisory experience in professional services with a track record of managing complex regulatory engagements and delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Experience across regulatory interpretation, compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, horizon scanning, regulatory mapping, gap analysis, remediation and policyGovernance development.
• Strong awareness of FCA priorities, industry themes and enforcement trends, translating regulatory change into practical, commercial advice.
• Credibility with boards and senior stakeholders, strong commercial judgement and ability to develop others and grow the Regulatory Practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex regulatory engagements from mobilisation through to completion with oversight of scope, quality, timing, budget and key delivery decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with boards, executive teams and senior stakeholders through clear, practical regulatory advice.
• Shape client/account strategies, translating needs into proportionate, fully costed solutions and compelling proposals.
• Identify and convert market opportunities, contributing to client campaigns and thought leadership.
• Manage portfolio performance: pricing, margin, utilisation, billing and work in progress, taking action where delivery or commercial performance is at risk.
• Lead and develop engagement teams with clear direction, delegation, coaching and timely feedback.
