Job summary

GT Stewart Solicitors & Advocates is seeking a First Line IT Support Engineer in St Albans with hybrid work after probation. The role provides first-line support across the firm, handling hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues. Travel to other GT Stewart offices is required.

The successful candidate will support user accounts, manage devices, and assist with IT projects while developing technical skills within a legal practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or service desk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Experience configuring laptops, desktops and printers.
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, remote support and in person.
• Log, prioritise and resolve IT support requests using the helpdesk system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, printers and mobile device issues; escalate as needed.
• Assist with user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory; reset passwords.
